Stories

Stories are a part of everyday life. Every time someone tells you what happened, they are telling you a story.

 

In a story, there is a beginning, a middle and an end.

 

         first              (what happened in the beginning)

         next              (what happened in the middle)

         in the end     (what happened last)

You can tell a story                                            

You talk to your partner about what happened at work.

You follow a story in a magazine or newspaper.

You write a story for your children to read.

 

You can tell a story in pictures or in only one sentence. Many stories are longer with lots of sentences.

 

Stories become interesting when they tell you not only what happened but also what the people were feeling.
